About the Cooperative Mobility Showcase 2010
Connecting Smart Vehicles with Intelligent Infrastructure
HOW THE DEPLOYMENT OF EUROPEAN COOPERATIVE SYSTEMS WILL ENHANCE ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY AND MOBILITY
A world-class showcase of innovative vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication technologies will take place in and around Amsterdam RAI from 23 to 26 March 2010. The showcase will be held in association with Intertraffic Amsterdam 2010, the world’s leading exhibition for infrastructure, traffic management, safety and parking.
The showcase will feature the final results of three European integrated projects COOPERS, CVIS and SAFESPOT, co- financed by the European Union’s Sixth Framework Programme of Research.
The showcase comprises three interrelated events:
- a conference on the theme of cooperative mobility using next generation V2V and V2I communication systems
- on-road demonstrations of the achievements of COOPERS, CVIS and SAFESPOT
- the i&CDrive trade exhibition of cooperative systems products & services
A 3-day Conference (24-26 March)
This truly international conference event will give traffic and mobility professionals the opportunity to experience hands-on and learn about the latest developments in the field of vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication technologies, applications and services.
The conference will be featuring high-level speakers from government, industry, service providers and, above all, scientist and researchers from COOPERS, CVIS, SAFESPOT and other international cooperative systems projects.
The conference will focus on the promised benefits of cooperative systems and the challenge for their implementation in the new world of cooperative mobility. The three days of inspiring presentations, challenging debates and international high-level discussions will present:
- How cooperative mobility deployment will contribute to benefits for the environment, safety and mobility
- The newest core technologies and applications for cooperative mobility
- Results of validation trials at the European projects’ test sites of a wide range of cooperative mobility applications
- Meeting the challenge for implementing cooperative systems in vehicles and infrastructure across Europe
Delegates will be international key decision makers, including government representatives, highway and public transport officials, automotive manufacturers and suppliers and the ITS industry.
The conference is co-organised by the European Commission, the Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management, the three cooperative mobility projects COOPERS, CVIS and SAFESPOT, and Amsterdam RAI.
An accompanying programme of short courses will explain how cooperative systems function, and how to implement them.
Live demonstrations – driving the future
Alongside the conference, delegates will have the unique opportunity to experience cooperative mobility in one of the numerous demonstration vehicles. Your demo ride will take you on a safety systems' track in the RAI grounds as well as out on the nearby motorways and city roads, to demonstrate tomorrow’s cooperative applications for drivers. The demonstrations will show the positive impacts for the environment, safety, mobility and individual travellers. There is a limited amount of seats available. Delegates of the Cooperative Mobility Conference 2010 are guaranteed to be able to participate in these unique demonstrations.
